Introductory seminars on statistical software packages R and SPSS are being regularly offered by the institute. The seminars are free of charge to UKE staff members, PhD students and students.

We currently offer the R courses in an on-site or online format.

Description:
The statistical program R is an open-source software for the analysis of data with an extensive, constantly extending wider range of utility functions. Thus program R is mostly syntax-based and is an ideal tool for experienced programmers.

Introduction to the statistical software SPSS

We currently offer the SPSS courses in an on-site or online format.

Description:
The SPSS statistical program is available to you free of charge as a server license from the Computer Center (Rechenzentrum), University of Hamburg. The SPSS program has a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and is therefore particularly suitable for beginners having no programming experience. During the course, working with SPSS-syntax is explained.
